Lesson 2: Brain Organization and Function

Assignment 2: Brain Organization and Function

Find a good schematic of the human brain. It doesn't matter what organizational scheme is used in your picture, since the names of the various brain components will still correspond to the table given in this lesson. Using colored pencils or markers, draw your own "brainy" picture, labeling the four different cerebral lobes, the diencephalons, and the brainstem. What do you remember about the functions of each of these regions? Write a short description of the function of each brain component next to its location on your drawing. What else can you identify that you learned about in this lesson? Again, label parts with their functions as much as you can.

Where do you want to go next?
