The ChildTrauma Academy is a not-for-profit organization working to improve the lives of high-risk children through service, research and education.

The Academy operates two, free online resources:

ChildTrauma.org is the Academy’s main web. It contains a whole host of articles on child development and maltreatment. The site features the work of Bruce D. Perry, M.D., Ph.D., Senior Fellow of the ChildTrauma Academy.  CTA now offers a variety of training products. Please visit this site for more information.

ChildTraumaAcademy.com is the Academy’s free Online University. It features our inaugural course "Surviving Childhood: An Introduction to the Impact of Trauma." The course was written by Dr. Perry, contains four lessons on the topic and is offered at no cost to participants. Discuss the course content with other ‘students’ and course instructors via interactive message boards! Three other courses are now available.

Just go to www.ChildTraumaAcademy.com and begin working on the course(s) of your choice!

The ChildTrauma Academy’s efforts are in partnership with the public and private systems that are mandated to protect, heal and educate children. Over the years, the work of the Academy has been supported, in part, by grants from Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services, the Children’s Justice Act, the Court Improvement Act and through innovative partnerships with academic and corporate partners such as Powered, Inc., Scholastic, Inc. and Digital Consulting and Software Services. Most recently, The Weekley Family Fund in Houston has joined us in generously supporting our education and training efforts.
